Kids Photography
Real kids. Real energy. Real moments worth keeping.
Kids don't sit still. They run, explore, laugh at the wrong moment, and look away right when you press the shutter. That's not a problem—that's the point.
The best kids' portraits capture personality, not compliance. I work outdoors in natural settings across Orange County—parks, beaches, open spaces—where children can move freely while I find the moments worth keeping.
Sessions take place outdoors at parks, beaches, and open spaces throughout Orange County—Newport Beach, Irvine, Huntington Beach, and surrounding areas. If you have specific outfit ideas or a meaningful location in mind, let's build the session around that. Natural light and room to move produce the most genuine results.
Common Questions
Do you work with a studio or outdoors?
Outdoor sessions are my current recommendation for kids photography. Open spaces in Orange County—parks, beaches, and nature areas—give children room to move naturally, which produces the most authentic results.
What age range do you photograph?
Toddlers through teenagers. Each age requires a different approach—younger children need patience and play, older kids often respond better to direction and conversation. The goal is always the same: capture who they actually are.
What if my child won't cooperate?
That's completely normal. Sessions are unrushed and relaxed—there's no pressure to produce specific poses. Some of the best images come from unexpected moments when children forget the camera is there.
Where do sessions take place?
Throughout Orange County—Newport Beach, Irvine, Costa Mesa, Huntington Beach, Fountain Valley, and surrounding areas. If you have a favorite park or meaningful location, that's a great starting point.
How should my child dress for the session?
Comfortable clothing in colors they actually wear tends to photograph well. Avoid busy patterns or logos. Most importantly, let them feel like themselves—comfort shows in photos.
Can siblings be included?
Yes. Sibling sessions are a natural extension of kids photography. Let me know at booking so the session is planned with enough time and space for everyone.
How long does a session last?
Typically one to one and a half hours, depending on the child's age and energy. Sessions are flexible—we work with the child's rhythm rather than against it.
